Well, the hits keep on comin’ folks. If you thought that 2016’s tour schedules were already action-packed, we’ve got one more big announcement to end your week: This year’s Pro Watercross Tour will be adding yet another stop on its calendar – to famous Atlantic City, New Jersey!
That’s right, Pro and Amateur racers will be racing in the rolling surf of the famous boardwalk town this July 23rd and 24th. If you’ve never been, this is a great to go. Here’s the entire press release from the Pro Watercross Media Team:
Atlantic City, NJ (April 21, 2016) The Atlantic City Sports Commission is partnering with Pro Watercross to host a National Tour Stop, which will take place July 23-24 on the Atlantic City beach in front of Resorts Casino Hotel.
Pro & Amateur Athletes will be competing on Personal Watercrafts in closed course racing and freestyle competitions. Pro Watercross racing will showcase up to 18 Pro athletes at one time, reach speeds of 85 miles per hour in the surf. Pro Watercross Freestyle will display an array of consecutive aerial maneuvers, only to be heightened by ocean conditions. Spectators can expect aerial maneuvers such as back-flips, barrel rolls, and much more. The sport of watercross is equivalent to motocross on the water. Providing plenty of thrills, spills, and excitement.
