Most of the time, you don’t give much thought as to what to wear on your feet when you’re out for a casual ride. A pair of flipflops or maybe an old worn out set of tennis shoes will do nicely, right? Well, how well do those drain? Will mildew set in before they finally dry? Heck, do they even have any traction on my PWC’s mats? All good questions.
Thankfully, you don’t need to concern yourself about picking out a good, reliable bit of footwear because Unlimited PWC just rolled out its new Aqua Flex Boots. These lightweight beach shoes can be used for all sorts of purposes: riding, walking through shallow water, in and out of the dockside restaurant, whatever you wish.
The upper half is made of breathable air neoprene material that feels soft to the touch – especially on skin – and the sole is a heal-to-toe rubber sole that is both flexible and provides excellent grip for a recreational ride. This is a superior riding boot (what we’d classify as a bootie, as a boot is often heavier) to those that we’ve tested previously.
Per Unlimited, “The combination of hard rubber and soft rubber improves not only comfort but also durability. The rubber that covers the heel and the point strap take care of the stress of putting on and taking off. Of course, you can improve the fit by adjusting the drawcord at the ankle. This will prevent your shoes from coming off and prevent sand from getting in.”
Priced at $37 a pair, Unlimited PWC’s Aqua Flex Boots are available from XS to L, and come in either hot pink (shown here), white, black and neon yellow.
