Anthony Radetic, the former US Army helicopter pilot-turned-professional jet ski racer, is one of the most prolific persons in the sport of offshore runabout racing today. Sponsored by Sea-Doo, the Watercraft Superstore, JetRenu, JetLift, Fly Racing and many more, Radetic was involved in a motorcycle accident while stationed in Alabama’s Fort Rucker – home to the 110th Aviation Brigade – that rendered the young husband and father paraplegic. Undaunted, Radetic sought out new ways to not only keep up his adrenaline levels, but also hone and sharpen his athletic skills.
First introduced to the world of offshore PWC racing at the 2014 Jettribe Long Beach-to-Catalina Offshore Championship, Radetic learned quickly that excelling at this sport used much more than his legs. Since that time, Radetic has been a major fixture as most major runabout races, including several bouts at the Mark Hahn Memorial Havasu 300, as well as the ongoing P1 Aqua X series. Today, Radetic is a welcomed member of the Sea-Doo X-Team, as well as the posterboy for several of his sponsors. Recently, AquaBike filmed a quick biography video worth watching below:
