It can be the ultimate letdown – you do your research, you purchase your new speed-demon PWC, you get your new Kawasaki Jet Ski® Ultra® 310 home and on the water… and a twist of the throttle just doesn’t quite live up to your expectations.
In the latest video from the Kawi gurus at Brisbane Kawasaki and Kspeed, you can learn from the pros what to do if your 2022 or 2023 Ultra 310 doesn’t hit the speeds you expected.
The issue comes down to the pump setup from the factory that results in pushing the nose of your ski down, even when the dash shows you riding at neutral, and this detailed video shows how to first check, then fix, the problem by adjusting the pump nozzle to be level.
Walking you through the process, the video shows you how to put your Ultra in maintenance mode, remove the ride plate, and check the trim measurements, which will show a difference between the top measurement between the nozzle and the housing, and the lower measurement between the nozzle and the housing, resulting in a downward trim that will impact speed.
This KSpeed video then details each step in adjusting that trim to set the nozzle to level so that the water is not bending, and instead is exiting in a level line, giving the most thrust and speed.
