Erminio Iantosca is a Sea-Doo Ambassador and races in the Pro Runabout Open, Pro Runabout GP and Pro Runabout Stock. Backed by RIVA Racing, Hydro-Turf, Jettribe, WRT, ViPec, XPS and ROTAX, Iantosca has been able to become a 3 time Pro Watercross World Champion (2016, 2017 & 2018). While this is quite a feat to accomplish, this is the result of years of training and persistence.
Since the age of 4 years old, Iantosca has had an affinity for the water. His father was able to help Iantosca pursue his love and get him into the world of riding personal watercrafts. A important thing to keep in mind is that every morning Iantosca is in the gym. He trys to stay in the best shape as possible to give him all of the endurance to perform optimally in each race. In 2010, Iantosca won 14 out of the 15 races and won his 7thnational title. This is an enormous feat but well deserved.
While the life of a Sea-Doo Ambassador and Personal Watercraft Racer seems glamorous, often times people need to have other sources of income to help support their race needs. When Iantosca is off of the water, he can be seen working in his family’s restaurant: Mama Mia’s Pizza. Word on the street is that he can make a pretty mean pizza, hand tossed. Established in 1975, they are the oldest pizzeria in Naples, Florida.
Being able to race personal watercraft professionally is a dream for many, and to have as much success as Iantosca has had in his career. It goes to show how having a balance between working hard while training but also helping his family’s restaurant is important. Erminio Iantosca knows how to live the Sea-Doo Ambassador life.
