VIDEO: From Louisiana Oil Rigs to Caribbean Islands, Jet Ski Fishing Adventures Worth Watching

After covering a variety of topics lately, we figured it was time to circle back around to some jet ski fishing! It’s been a while since we’ve checked in with some of our favorite fishing folks, and along the way, we’ve discovered a new face we think our readers will enjoy getting to know.

From chasing cobia around Louisiana oil rigs to battling sharks off the Australian coast and exploring tropical Caribbean islands, these four YouTube channels offer plenty of fishing action, beautiful scenery and a few lessons learned along the way.

So grab a cup of coffee, settle in and enjoy a little fishing adventure from the comfort of your favorite chair.

Emmanuel Williams — Chasing Cobia in Louisiana

We last caught up with Miami-based outdoorsman Emmanuel Williams and his I Belong Outdoors YouTube channel back in July, when he was 20 miles offshore fishing for grouper and barrelfish.

This time, we’re joining Emmanuel in Louisiana, where he spent four days exploring offshore oil rigs in search of giant cobia.

In his August video, Louisiana offshore cobia fishing adventure, Emmanuel takes viewers along as he works from rig to rig, using his Sea-Doo to navigate the structures and sharing fishing techniques along the way.

The cobia don’t always cooperate, and the water conditions aren’t exactly ideal, but there’s no shortage of excitement. Between some hard-fighting cobia, a surprise tripletail hiding beneath floating debris and a few impressive mangrove snapper, the trip delivers plenty of action.

One of the things we’ve always enjoyed about Emmanuel’s videos is his easygoing approach to fishing. He’s just as happy to share a tip about working a lure through the water column as he is to celebrate a successful catch — or laugh about one that got away.

And his audience clearly appreciates the enthusiasm. One viewer even commented that their toddler was cheering him on as he struggled to bring in a cobia!

With more than 16,000 views on this adventure alone, Emmanuel continues to give PWC fishing enthusiasts plenty of reasons to follow along.

Andrew Hill — Deepwater Fishing and Winter Mornings

From the Louisiana coast, we’re heading across the Pacific to catch up with Sea-Doo ambassador and content creator Andrew Hill.

We last featured Hill in June 2025, when he took viewers along on a social jet ski fishing trip that highlighted the friendships and community surrounding the sport.

This time, we’re trading warm Gulf waters for a chilly winter morning and some serious deepwater fishing aboard his 300-horsepower Sea-Doo FISH PRO Apex.

In Episode 201 of Andrew Hill Adventure Fishing, published Aug. 26, Hill heads offshore with three friends for an early morning soft-baiting session in water reaching more than 100 meters deep.

The early start brings some beautiful scenery and encounters with marine life before the fishing gets underway.

And once the lines are in the water, there’s plenty to keep Hill busy.

A John Dory makes an early appearance, followed by several snapper and a kingfish that puts up a spirited fight before being released.

Throughout the trip, Hill shares his approach to deepwater soft-baiting, from selecting jig heads and working the bait to reading his fish finder and managing a hooked fish before it can reach the reef.

It’s a great combination of fishing instruction, beautiful scenery and the simple pleasure of spending a morning on the water with friends.

And while some of us are already mourning the arrival of cooler weather, Hill makes a pretty convincing case for bundling up and heading out anyway.

Jetcast — Rough Water, Big Fish and Relentless Sharks

Next, we’re checking back in with the Australian crew at Jetcast, whom we last featured in 2024.

We’ve always appreciated the way Jetcast combines fishing adventures with practical advice about equipment, techniques and safety. Their latest outing takes that approach a step further, with a reminder that no matter how experienced you are, the ocean deserves respect.

Their Oct. 2 video, Respect the Ocean | Rough Bar, Big Fish & Relentless Sharks, follows Mark and his companions James and Steve on an offshore fishing trip that begins with a challenging crossing of South Passage Bar.

The rough conditions set the tone for a day that delivers some excellent catches, including yellowtail kingfish, goldband snapper and several impressive pink snapper.

But the fish aren’t the only ones interested in what’s on the end of the line.

Sharks repeatedly interfere with the anglers’ efforts, taking hooked fish and making it difficult to bring their catches aboard.

Despite the competition, the crew manages to land some impressive fish, including a 105-centimeter kingfish that is released after a hard fight.

Along the way, viewers get a look at some of the equipment and techniques used in offshore PWC fishing, including jigging with a Daiwa Saltiga 35 and Shimano Ocea Jigger 1500.

The video also includes a brief look at a close call involving a center-console boat during the bar crossing, an incident Jetcast explores in greater detail in a separate safety-focused video.

It’s an entertaining fishing adventure, but the message behind it is worth remembering: Conditions can change, challenges can appear without warning, and even a successful day on the water demands preparation and respect for the environment.

Tiffany Silver — Caribbean Sunshine, Island Hopping and a Fresh-Caught Dinner

And finally, we’re introducing a new addition to our list of jet ski adventurers — Tiffany Silver.

With more than 571,000 YouTube subscribers, Tiffany certainly isn’t new to the world of online adventures, but she’s a new discovery for us here at The Watercraft Journal.

And for those of us watching the temperatures drop as winter approaches, her latest video offers a particularly appealing escape.

In Jet Ski Fishing in the Caribbean! Remote Island Catch & Cook, Tiffany takes viewers along for a full day of jet ski fishing, island hopping, exploring shipwrecks and preparing a meal from the day’s catch.

The adventure begins with a slightly delayed morning departure — Tiffany readily admits that getting up early isn’t exactly her favorite activity — before the crew heads out for some trolling.

After landing bonito, the fishing trip turns into an island exploration adventure, complete with crystal-clear water, shipwrecks, snorkeling and a search for whelks.

Of course, even paradise comes with a few complications.

Floating sargassum creates some challenges, a passing storm interrupts the day’s plans, and the crew has to keep an eye on their equipment and supplies throughout the outing.

But the day ends with a freshly prepared island meal featuring their catch, roasted whelks and a little tropical scenery that might have some of us checking airfare prices.

Tiffany’s video is a little different from the technical fishing adventures we’re accustomed to sharing. There’s plenty of fishing, but there’s also an emphasis on exploration, enjoying the outdoors and making the most of everything a personal watercraft can bring within reach.

And that’s a side of the PWC lifestyle we love seeing celebrated.

There’s More Than One Way to Enjoy a Day on the Water

One of the things we enjoy most about the PWC community is the variety of adventures people find aboard their machines.

For some, it’s about pursuing the biggest fish possible. For others, it’s perfecting a technique, exploring unfamiliar waters or simply spending time with friends and family.

And sometimes, it’s about finding a beautiful little island, catching dinner and enjoying an afternoon in the sunshine.

These four channels offer a little bit of all of that, and we’re glad to have the opportunity to share their adventures with our readers.

Be sure to visit their channels, give their videos a watch and let us know who else we should be following in the world of jet ski fishing.
