The 3/2 mm neoprene Montego Pants would be worth checking out. The knees are abrasion resistant, and the pants will provide protection from the biting wind and cold. Add a pair of 1.5 mm neoprene gloves to protect your hands from the elements. These have a nice grippy palm to help you hang on to your ski.
